Our Mission

To provide easy-to-open or prepare food for children in Elementary, Middle, or High School who do not have access to or are not provided food on a daily basis.

BackPack Kids began as an outreach to South Jackson Elementary. We now currently serve —

  • South Jackson Elementary

  • East Jackson Elementary

  • East Jackson High School

  • Foot Hills

  • Jefferson City Schools

  • The Boys & Girls Clubs of Jackson Co.

Why we pack the food we do —

  • Supply chain issues

  • Decrease in funding

  • Increase in need

  • Appeals to the children we serve

  • Resilient to damage during transportation
